I usually work with a single model at a time. It’s difficult enough to find one willing to endure the tough locations which are my trademark. But when the opportunity arises to work with a duo, the session can be even more exciting.
Schedules aside, the most difficult aspect is their personalities. It’s one thing to work clothed – it’s like normal daily life.
But modeling nude, especially in close contact, requires a truly focused individual who can remain true to the overall theme and not distracted by temptations. Comfort with one another is of utmost importance.
During the shoot, I was amazed at the professionalism of these two. Mr. B has worked with me many times in the past and I always get gorgeous results from our work.
But Donny was a newbie. Having performance experience, he viewed this as a unique concept worthy of exploration. And their athletic builds were a perfect compliment.
The Pacific Northwest is gorgeous. I always enjoy shooting here. The natural beauty of the ocean and the forest immediately brought to mind thoughts of romance.
Missing are the obvious sexually charged references. Instead, I wanted compassion, warmth and affection in a deeper sense. And I think these guys were spot on!!
It did help that they both have very relaxed attitudes. They clicked right off the bat and were quite comfortable; at times, even playful.
During the beach shots, their proximity became more a matter of warmth!
Luckily, the dunes provided shelter from the winds and the sand was pleasantly warm from the sun.
I took a risk and it worked beautifully. I’m very happy with our photos. As a result, I booked more duo sessions over the year and plan to do more in the future.
